Dear friends and colleagues,
With each passing day, we are learning how to grapple with the new reality brought on by the global COVID-19 pandemic. All of us have seen our lives transformed by social distancing, a halt to public gatherings and conferences, and the mandatory closing of many businesses our communities hold dear. We are all continuing to cope in our own ways, while also seeking to retain some sense of normalcy in this extraordinary time.
I want to start by thanking our tireless team, who seamlessly transitioned to a remote workforce at the flip of a switch. Years ago, we developed a business continuity plan that we acted upon quickly. Our use of secure, managed cloud desktops allowed our team to access applications, documents and resources remotely on their own devices while maintaining our security and streamlined processes.
We also noticed a profound impact of cloud applications for our financial partners. The massive increase in remote transactions, without degradation in speed or performance, enables banks to continue to make the loans their community needs.
We want to take a moment to thank those on the front lines in the fight against this pandemic, especially the healthcare workers who are working hard to treat those most vulnerable.
Finally, we're inspired to see many of our partners using this time to start planning for growth and recovery, once the current situation has eased. Epic River is committed to the well being of our banks, healthcare providers and the communities they serve.
Stay well,
Jeff Grobaski
